Hello everyone, how are you doing? I haven’t updated my blog in a while. I’ve been focusing on school, running and friends lately. I’m trying to get everything that matters the most to me back on track, and running a blog at the same time just doesn’t seem to work.
I’m taking a break, and I’m not sure when my next update will be, so I might as well say goodbye for now. However, if you signed up for the newsletter which is supposed to show you my updates, you’ll be automatically informed next time I post something on here.
Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed my blog and I will not delete it from the internet, so you can still check it out whenever you feel like it.

I’m very excited about this post, because this is about photographer Angel Titaïna. 23-year-old Angel started photographing ten years ago. ”Living my passion is all I want.’‘, she shares with me.
”I can’t say I like my work because the way i see it, it will never be perfect. I still have lots of things to learn. What I want is to share a certain emotion with the spectator. I carefully choose the place where i take the picture, because for me, it’s as important as the model.”
To me, her work seems to represent the beauty of being young. There is a mysterious undertone of romantic feelings and freedom. Eventhough everything goes so well together; perfectly picked locations, dreamy colourpallets, beautiful models and the right styling, the ideas and emotion put into it, maintains raw at all time.

Have you ever known one of those people, you haven’t really talked to a lot, but they seem like one of the most interesting and fascinating people you’ve met? To me, this girl is one of them. This is Mae Smith, and she’s not the average 13-year old.
Mae about Josh K. :”There is not just one artist I get inspired by… I like to have more sources of inspiration, and discover new ones. But if I had to choose one, it would be Josh K. (http://instagram.com/wellcultured) He may not be a ‘real artist’ -as in, I don’t know if he draws for living-, but he is inspirational to me.” There are some things they have in common, thinks Mae. ”We both like to draw lips, and we always try to do something new.”
Mae about music: ”I nearly always listen to music when I’m drawing. It makes me feel relaxed… When I draw and listen to music, it’s like I’m disconnected from the world”
Mae’s favourite tools and tricks: ”For drawing, I prefer basic pencils and pastel pencils, and on tinted paper, I like to use white, because of the nice contrast. And because of my eye for detail, I like to use a white gel pen on top of other colours, which creates this shiny effect. I think that’s something you see a lot in my drawings. But after all, I think it’s important not to get bored, so I often try out new things.”
Mae’s laid-back thoughts about what the future holds for her: ”I haven’t really thought much about what I want to do, but studying at an art academy seems nice, and so does being an artist. I still want to practise, practise, practise and learn more techniques, meet artists and ask them about theirs.”

‘A guilt free, vegan, chocolate mousse…? You must be kidding me!’
No, I’m not even kidding. Recently, I was standing in my kitchen, opening and closing kitchen closets, desperately looking for something sweet. And then it hit me. I could create something that would boost my energy, something including healthy fats, something creamy and soft, something that would nurture my body, something that doesn’t include unknown ingredients you can’t even pronounce, something…. CHOCOLATEY!

A pop of colour, a little print and a pinch of fun can turn a basic, all in black outfit into a great look! Special thanks to my dear friend Emilie, who took these beautiful pictures.
